Saint Agatha’s Tower

Saint Agatha’s Tower also called Red Tower.

All historical information you can find under this Wikipedia link .

Many times we met near the Red Tower for a winter trek on a Sunday afternoon. Usually we would either trek along the sea towards Slugs Bay and from there up to the Chapel of Immaculate Conception and from there an easy route back to the starting point or we had West to Rdum il-Qammieh along the cost all the way round to Paradise Bay and then back to the starting point. On this route there is the option to visit a cave which is popular among good rock climbers.

Also visible in the photo is a nature park taken care of by birdlife Malta. More information about the Ghadira Nature Reserve here

This photo is taken in July, can’t wait for winter to go trekking with the group.
